Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have information on active Air Force Bases?  Usually not, since my focus is on the past, not the present.  I recommend you contact the official USAF web site for current information.

Can you tell me what units were stationed at Suchandsuch Air Force Base?  No, sorry!  The study of units is a specialized field, and is outside the scope of my research.  I recommend you contact the Air Force Historical Research Agency for unit information.

Can you tell me if Sgt. Soandso  was stationed at Suchandsuch Air Force Base?   No, sorry!  I do not have access to any personnel information.

Can you tell me what aircraft were stationed at Suchandsuch Air Force Base?  No, sorry.  The study of aircraft is a specialized field, and is outside the scope of my research.  I recommend you contact the Air Force Historical Research Agency for unit information.

Can I link to your web site from mine?  Sure, if you want to.

Will you link to my web page from yours?  Probably not.  Maintaining links takes time that I prefer to spend on other activities.

Do you sell your photographs?  I retain copyright to all my photos, however I do license them for use.  A typical licensing fee of $10 - $20 gives you non-exclusive use of an image for a single project (article, web site, advertising campaign, etc.).  I prefer a fixed fee with no royalties, to keep things simple.  Discounts are offered for multiple photographs or for non-profit charitable organizations.  Let me know which photos you like and how you propose to use them, and I’ll quote you a price.  If you need something you don’t see, just ask and I’ll check my archives.  Once we make a deal, you pay via PayPal then download the photos from my web site or, in many cases, I can e-mail you larger image files.
